It specializes in animal health, and its operations are purpose-built for the creation of animal health products. Argenta aims to be the leading provider of new veterinary product development and pharmaceutical contract manufacturing services to the international animal health industry.
Assurant Employee Benefits, a division of insurance leader Assurant, leases space at the BTBC Main Facility specifically to establish a year-round internship program with the KU School of Engineering. As part of the program, the company will hire between six and eight students from the school’s computer science and computer engineering degree programs to help develop industry-specific IT applications.
AudioAnywhere has built an advertising platform to more effectively monetize free media content. It will provide online music sites with better advertisements that generate more revenue per song. The platform provides assays for the pharmaceutical industry which can be utilized throughout the drug development process.

It utilizes a technology developed by University of Kansas researcher medicinal chemist Tom Prisinzano and Laura Bohn, a neuroscientist at The Scripps Research Institute in Florida. Prisinzando and Bohn teamed up with colleagues Robert Karr and Randy Weiss to launch the company earlier this year.
